🤎🎁♥️GINGERBREAD DOUGH! It’s incredibly soft and so much fun! ✨ ➡️Follow @lovebloomlearn for more easy play ideas! 🧚‍♀️ To recreate this activity, mix roughly two cups of cornstarch and 1 cup of hand lotion or hair conditioner. I like using unscented to smell the spices. Before mixing this, stir food colouring in the lotion. You can find inexpensive lotion at the dollar store. Now add the cornstarch and gingerbread spice mix and stir. After mixing, take out the dough and knead. If the mixture is too sticky, add a bit more cornstarch, or if it is “stiff” and doesn’t give you a smooth Play-Doh feel, add a bit more lotion. That’s really it! We added some gingerbread cutters and coloured beads for added fun. First, add food colouring to the water. Once the water is coloured, stir into the baking soda and add coloured sequins or glitter. Once the mixture is a paste, scoop it into a snowflake silicone mold. Let freeze. FYI, we made one mixture with purple food colouring and a second with blue food colouring. Easy DIY colouring board! 🌈 it’s a great activity to practice pre-writing skills! Follow @lovebloomlearn for more easy play ideas! To recreate this activity, grab a piece of cardboard and place some stickers. I added matching stickers for a brain boost, but she wasn’t interested in finding the match today. Once you’re done, cover it with clear tape and offer your child a dry-erase marker. I don’t measure; it depends on how many reindeer you want to make. Start with about 1/2 cup of baking soda and add the cocoa powder - enough to make the colour brown. Slowly add in water - you don’t need much as you want to create a thick paste. If it’s too runny, add more baking soda. Create a ball and add the items to make a reindeer (googly eyes, pompoms and sticks). Place in the freezer until frozen. Use vinegar to fizz the reindeer! This activity was a hit - my son was determined to rescue all the Arctic friends! ✨FOLLOW✨ @lovebloomlearn for more easy play ideas! 🧚 To recreate this activity, grab a medium-sized container and add water with some Arctic animal friends. We also added trees and glitter snowflakes. Place the bowl in the freezer and let freeze overnight. Add warm water when ready on the bowl for a few seconds to remove the ice. Use salt and warm water to “rescue” the Arctic friends. We mixed the salt in the spray bottles and bowl of water. Use droppers and spray bottles! To recreate this activity, grab a large ziplock bag and colour a snowman on the bag. You can use an alcohol swap to remove the logo. Grab a paper towel and add about 1/2 cup of baking soda (maybe a bit more), then fold the paper. Add to the bag. Add in about 1-2 cups of vinegar. The amount will be dependent on the size of your container. Start slowly with water until you reach the desired consistency. We used a snowflake silicone mold and added some food colouring. Let freeze and add to a shallow tray with a bit of water. ♥️String lights in a pillowcase. I love this one to encourage tummy time! ❤️Ornaments on a wooden arch. Make sure to use non-shatter ones and good-quality ornaments so they don’t break. ♥️Snowflake sensory bag. Cut a snowflake shape on a piece of cardboard. Add water and glitter in a ziplock bag. Place a white paper behind the bag and add a second piece of cardboard at the back. Tape it all together. Think of this like a sandwich and the sensory bag between the two cardboard pieces.
