Marathon day, every year is one of the best days and most symbolic for me. Not only because I live in Hopkinton, and on a small business right at the starting line of the marathon but because of the history I have and how important the race in this day is.
I ran the Boston Marathon five times back between 1999 2010.. in 2008 when running for the Dana-Farber, I was partnered with a three year old who is battling leukemia. I ended up seeing him on the final stretch of Boylston and carried him down the last leg and across the finish line!
That 3 year old is graduating from High School in 1 month!!
