This article contains all the direct references to eternals or eternals entities across marvel projects (even before eternals released from the guardians films!). Comment in the chat if I missed any!

REFERENCES IN THE MCU:

1) GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY HOLIDAY SPECIAL

- Context: In the GOTG Special, we got two Kingo posters advertising his films (a Christmas project) and another Bollywood film. The Bollywood film poster of Kingo with guns was leaked on Reddit, and it came true!

- Significance: This is interesting because it shows that Kingo movies are still being advertised despite Kingo being in space and MIA. I suppose we have Karun to thank for that but I do wonder if Kingo's audience himself is wondering where the star is? Hopefully Kingo will be back soon.

2) SHE HULK

• TIAMUT IN ARTICLE

- Location: Episode 2 She Hulk on Disney+

- Context: When Jen is looking for jobs online, on the right side of her screen there are a few article titles listed one of which says "Why there is a giant statue of a man sticking out of the ocean" which is a clear reference to Tiamut.

[also yeah Wolverine reference is neat . . . ]

- Significance: After everyone has been clamoring for MCU to address Tiamut being in the middle of the ocean because people would be paying attention to it, it finally happened! The MCU acknowledges that people of the earth do know about Tiamut and are probably theorizing about it online.

• ETERNALS ON DISNEY+

  

  Location: Episode 9 She Hulk on Disney+
  Context: Jen is breaking the 4th wall here on the Disney+ screen and in the corner you can see the Eternals movie on screen.
  Significance: Eternals will remain Canon to the MCU and isn't anywhere (for those that keep on saying it is :)! )

3) THOR LOVE AND THUNDER: CELESTIALS

• CELESTIALS AT ZEUS'S PALACE

- There are 2 celestials at the entrance of Zeus's palace.

- Celestial Madonna: The celestial on the left is called the Celestial Madonna.

- Celestial Gardener: The celestial on the right is called the Celestial Gardener who are essentially responsible for planting life on new worlds using Life Seeds and growing new Apocalypse Servants [Marvel Database].

- Significance: This shows that celestials exist across the full universe and there are many different types. It expands on the lore of celestials and shows that some are directly involved in the creation and care of the universe and some like to hang out with Zeus. Hopefully in the future, we learn more about the backstory behind the origin of the celestials.

• CELESTIAL STATUE IN ETERNITY CAVE

  

  - Celestial Statue on Eternity Cave:

In Eternity's cave, one of the statues is that of a celestial. This celestial could be known as the One Above it All. The One Above it All who is essentially the leader of the celestials. The celestials are one of the highest entities in marvel across cosmic and magic so the leader having a statue in eternity's cave along with Lady Death, Kang etc makes sense.

• ETERNALS GLYPHS ON ZEUS' PALACE WINDOWS

In Zeus' palace on the windows the patterns match those of eternals glyphs that are in their symbols. It has the same circular ancient patterns that match the eternals symbols which could represent that this pattern form is something that is integrated across all of cosmic MCU.

5) MS MARVEL : KINGO

Location: Episode 2 of Ms Marvel on Disney+

Context: Kamala and Kamran are having a conversation about Bollywood which leads to them discussing Kingo who is a famous Bollywood star and how their moms have a crush on him.

Significance: This scene was the first MCU project to reference anything from eternals directly so it is monumental. It also made sense to mention Kingo, a Bollywood star, in a south asian superhero project.

6) GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 1

ESON THE SEARCHER AND POWER STONE

Location: Guardians of the Galaxy 1

Context: While the Guardians wanted to give the Power Stone to the Collector, they learn about the origin of the infinity stones. During the visuals explaining Infinity Stones we see the celestial Eson the searcher wielding the power stone. The celestials who are described as "beings of extraordinary strength" were said to use the stone to "mow down entire civilizations like wheat in a field".

Significance: This is pretty significant when it comes to the origin of the universe because it shows that celestials were the initial carries of the infinity stones and used some of them used it for their own gain. We learn in Eternals that celestials are responsible for the creation of the universe but in Guardians we see they also destroy. Why the difference?

7) THOR THE DARK WORLD

KNOWHERE

• Location: Thor the Dark World

• Context: Knowhere first appears in this film when Sif and Thor are giving the reality stone to the Collector (Taneleer Tivan) for safekeeping. It is said to be the severed head of a celestial, probably billions of years old, and home to the Collector and Mining Colony of Exitar.

• Significance: We still have no origin story for Knowhere despite it being in several Marvel projects. This is pretty significant because as we learned in Eternals, celestials are some of the most powerful beings in the universe and essentially are responsible for creation of life . Given how ancient and powerful the celestials war, what could kill a celestial? Thats a important question yet to be answered.
