Sauna is a big part of my wellness routine. Why? Here are 3 reasons to prioritize sauna time: 🔥Detox & Immune Support Sauna helps your body detox and boosts your immune system. I especially prioritize sauna sessions after traveling or when I feel my immune system needs extra care. 🔥🔥Breathwork & Circulation The heat boosts circulation and increases your heart rate, similar to light exercise. To build endurance to stay in the heat you need to practice mindful, steady breathing. I use this time to encourage my breath into my belly (rather than in my chest where it’s more shallow and tied to stress). 🔥🔥🔥Intentional Rest Sauna sessions help lower cortisol (the stress hormone) and promote better sleep. Reason ♾️ I love yoga: Unity, Connection, Oneness. Not only does yoga connect our individual minds to our bodies, but it also connects us to others. This summer I connected with new friends by guiding them through a yoga class. We connected through this shared experience, and it’s yet another reason I’m so grateful for this practice ✨
