1st time in NEW YORK CITY 🤩 As per usual, I decided to book a last minute trip! A long weekend in New York City to visit my bestie, Deirdre and experience the city for the first time! I caught a taxi from LGA to Brooklyn and blasted Taylor Swift in my ear buds while driving over the bridge. And just like magic, as soon as the lyrics hit, “Welcome to New York, it’s been waiting for you,” the skyline appeared. My chest filled up and I started to cry a bit.. my poor taxi driver 😂 My first day was filled to the brim with adventures! I ventured solo onto my first subway ride and smelled all the various weird subway smells… it was heaven. I hit the Natural History Museum, walked across Central Park to The Met.. we saw the SPECTACULAR Moulin Rouge and walked through Times Square! I ended the night on top of the Rockefeller overlooking the vast city - lights as far as I could see… it was unbelievable. The 9/11 memorial was emotional and beautiful.. we took the Staten Island Ferry to see Lady Liberty… went to Grand Central Station and experienced the whisper wall! Then met up with friends in the village to have a drunken night at a comedy club 😆 And like most NYC nights, we ate pizza to soak up the alcohol where I screamed, “LET’S GIVE IT UP FOR THE PIZZA PEOPLE DOING GODS WORK!” And everyone screamed and laughed. 😂 The next day, hungover and tired, we crawled to Chinatown for dumplings (King Dumpling) and an amazing massage. I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience in the city. I want to give a major shout out to my best friend @deirdreluv who made my trip so wonderful. She went above and beyond as my host. We’ve been friends since high school, and I’m so grateful to have such a kind soul in my life. Thanks for letting me crash, D 💜 Wanna travel with me? Spots are still available for my Greece trip in May! 🔗inbio 💜💜💜 #newyorkcity #solotraveling #mandybrooke #mandybrookeofficial #nyc #relatable #travelblog

London was a fever 💋 | Solo Travel Adventures I tend to travel impulsively, and this unexpected detour to London was no exception. After spending 5 days in Rome, I was sitting in an Amsterdam coffee house on a long layover back home, blushing over a handsome Dutch man I met on the plane… gosh, I wasn’t ready to go. And then, like an answer to my thought, my fabulous friend called saying, “Darling, come to London!” How could I say no? I stayed with Jack (@parisian_sweet) in his beautiful flat. We drank, danced and sang in his living room, and he took the Marilyn photo of my dreams… I toured the sights of London, ate the best fish and chips I’ve ever had at Harrods… admired Kim Kardashian’s handbag and stayed up all night with new friends, laughing hysterically in bell tower bathrooms and wrote our names on the walls of legends. And on the last day, I boarded a train to Waterloo Station at 12:22 to meet that handsome Dutch man from the plane… we strolled through central London and talked for hours. He took my favorite picture, can you guess which one it is? The mischievous look in my eyes may give it away. 🙈 Life is quite magical if you let go and fall into it. Lately I’ve been asked what I want, and it’s this; Living passionately & not holding back my pleasure… being scared and vulnerable yet playful… taking a spontaneous trip, and romanticizing a life that is meant to be romanticized. And as I sit with my Mom sipping hot coffee, I feel grateful for these experiences that will fill my mind forever. From Bali, to Rome, Amsterdam & London… I am beyond thankful for the friends I have made, and the life I created just by being unapologetically myself. Thank you for following along on my travels. There are more stories to come :) #solotravelingisfun #spontaneous #romantic💏 #romanticizeyourlife #confidence #londonlife #londontravel #mandybrookeofficial #mandybrooke #relatable #funnygirl #livepassionately #millennial #millennialwomen #emilyinparis
