CONFIRMED ETERNALS NEWS:
1) KUMAIL HAS NO IDEA ABOUT ETERNALS SEQUEL

Kumail Nanjiani (Kingo) ,who was recently on a press tour for this new show Chippendales, appeared on the Bingeworthy podcast by Playlist where he was asked about the possibility of return of an Eternals sequel. His reply said,
"I have no idea. I don’t think Patton [Oswalt] was right. I think that there was a hoax website – one of those where it’s like one letter off from the real one. They tweeted it, and it spread around and I think that’s what Patton saw."
Here Kumail is referring to Patton's interview on Today show where he seeminly confirmed an eternals sequel. Kumail believes Patton fell bait to one of the troll accoutns on twitter that does bait announcements and believed there to be a sequel. This is peculiar because it feels like a scapegoat execuse , because even if Kumail knew about a sequel, he might say the same thing. I think Kumail knows of a sequel and said this to not let our hopes up.
Kumail did express interest in returning to play Kingo and loves his character saying:
" I would love for Kingo to come back. I love playing that character…That one’s very fun to play, you’re just in a good mood."
and expressing,
“I would love to pair up with Ms. Marvel!”
Kumail clearly loves playing Kingo and Kingo became a fan favorite so it would be great to see him come back. We know that Ms Marvel knows about Kingo through watching this Bollywood films so they would make a delightful pair.
2) ETERNALS ARE SET TO RETURN
Date: October 29, 2022
In a interview with Comicbook Nate Moore, producer at Marvel Studios, confirmed that the Eternals will be returning to the MCU. He states
"I don't want to spoil anything, but we have not seen the last of those characters."
Significance: We knew the Eternals are going to return. At the end of the film, it did say "Eternals will Return". However, with Marvel being quiet radio silence about the eternals (no sequel confirmation :( ), as a eternals fan I was losing hope of seeing the characters again. To hear that the characters will be returning to the MCU ,even though we have no idea when, it is a relief.
3) BARRY KEOGHAN KEEPS ASKING KUMAIL ABOUT ETERNALS SEQUEL
Date: October 19 2022
Barry Keoghan (Druig) who had been doing press for Banshees of Insherin was asked by Uproxx if knows anything about Eternals returning or a sequel. Barry said in response:
" Kumail is always the one I’m texting. I’m like, “Yo, have you heard anything on Eternals 2?” Kumail knows everything."
Like Kumail, Barry loved playing Druig and is very enthusiastic to return to his role but has no idea when. It seems like the costars have been in contact with each other about the sequel because the cast wants it! Kevin Fiege its your call now 😧
4) PATTON OSWALT : ETERNALS SEQUEL? ON TODAY SHOW
Date: August 2 2022
In a interview on the Today Show when asked about joining the MCU and his experience, Patton Oswalt went on to say:
"They have announced that there is going to be an Eternals sequel and Chloe Zhao is going to direct it . . . "
Significance: Patton Oswalt essentially said this out of nowhere during his interview. There had been no official confirmation from Marvel Studios for ana eternals sequel and Chloe Zhao returning to direct, only rumors. The insertion of this just feels a bit unnatural so this was probably a pr stunt by Marvel to get fans excited about the possibility of a sequel.
5) KEVIN FIEGE ETERNALS MENTION AT SDCC
Date: July 23 2022
Allegedly at San Diego Comic Con, Kevin Fiege announced 8 other Marvel Projects and also said
"Eternals will Return"
Significance: Allegedly, Kevin Fiege at the SDCC Marvel Panel said that the Eternals will return. I was not there so i cannot confirmed if that happened. But hey a mention of eternals from Kevin is a win so I will take it. Now announce the sequel, Kevin !
6) IKAIRS IS IN MARVEL ZOMBIES
Date: July 22 2022
At SDCC during the Marvel Animted panel, they gave a first look to one of Marvel Studio's upcoming animated series on Disney+ : Marvel Zombies (2024). In the first look it seems like Ikaris is going to be a part of the show as a zombie.
Significance : This is the first confirmation of eternals being in another Marvel project. This is monumental because it may be the first time we see an eternal interact with other marvel characters, even if the show is set in another universe.
7) KINGO POSTER ON LOKI S2 SET
Date : July 3 2022
On the Loki S2 set, a poster of Kingo's film "The Great Kingo" was spotted playing in London cinemas. This is acknowledging that Kingo's movies were global and specifically in London because many South Asians live in the city in the 1970s. Could we be getting a possible Kingo cameo in Loki show since Loki goes back in a time period where Kingo is still on Earth? Lets see!
8) KINGO POSTERS SPOTTED ON GOTG SPECIAL SET
Date: April 28 2022
Reddit User u/bgrandis7 saw GOTG special being recorded at the Chinese Theater in LA. Amongst seeing James Gunn, Dave Bautista (Drax), Pom Klementieff (Mantis) and Christmas decorations, they spotted a Kingo movie poster on set for an action film. Assuming GOTG Holiday special takes place Eternals, this may have been a film that was set to release until Kingo got kidnapped (or it could be an old one). Either way, Kingo has cemented himself as a global superstar in the MCU.
9) ETERNALS HAD A PLANNED CAMEO IN MOONKNIGHT

In an interview via The Direct with Moon Knight producer, Jeremy Carver , confirmed that at one point he wanted to have an Eternals cameo in Moon Knight show from an early script.
He had a plans to do a Avatar style team up with Eternals and one of Khonshu's early Avatars set in anceit Egypt where the Avatar would be dealing with "dealing with Ammit being locked away, and Alexander the Great, and all of that stuff." Jeremey specifically wanted to have Kingo, stating :
" I tried very hard to get the Eternals into the show, just because I’m buddies with Kumail Nanjiani… I want[ed] some Kingo. . . but again, it was so massively expensive to recreate Ancient Egypt, to sort of bring in 3 or 4 of the Eternals to have this big action sequence."
It could have had other fighter eternals such as Lauren Ridloff's Makkari or Don Lee's Gilgamesh. However due to budget, this idea was eventually scrapped.
But hey its nice to know that the Eternals are being thought of to include!
10) GEMMA CHAN SAYS SERSI WILL RETURN TO MCU

During an interview with W magazine, Gemma Chan was asked if she will return to the MCU as Sersi she said:
"Yes. Marvel owns us for life."
Gemma Chan was is not new to Marvel even when playing Sersi as she had starred in Captain Marvel before. So if anyone knows the secrets of when and how characters return, its definitely her!
11) KF : ADVENTURES OF PIP THE TROLL AND EROS WILL CONTINUE
In an interview, Kevin Fiege was asked if we will get to see more of Eros and Pip the troll in the future of the MCU and for this Kevin Fiege said:
" The adventures of Eros and Pip is something that is very exciting for . . .
doctor strange with supernatural angles, we have got street level with announcement of Daredevil and Spidey street level heroes-
and cosmic and that's where our friends Eros and Pip live."
Yay for Harry Styles fans! The adventures of Eros and Pip will probably be a tale continued into Eternals sequel or be used to give backstory into celestials and Thanos himself.
12) ETERNALS WAS ORIGINALLY A TV SHOW

In a cameo video, Lia Mchugh (Sprite) had said that Eternals was originally supposed to be a TV show before the studio turned it into a movie!
Significance : If this is true, this is quiet important. Most people who watched Eternals said that the film would have worked better as a tv to show first introduce the Eternals and then release the movie. The movie felt overstuffed trying to introduce the Eternals and having a large scale end of the world threat, so having a tv show that is soley about the Eternals would have mad eit easy to connect with the characters
Personally, I believe a tv show may or may not have been good based on the story they were trying to tell. I adore the movie for what it is but I do think a mini tv series (even animated) that has 10 episodes, one for each eternal, would have been nice. However if they wanted the entire film to be a tv show that would not have worked. The film is a beautiful high stakes story that would not have worked well in the tv medium so I am happy it was a film!
