Looking at these kids, it almost seems surreal. Thinking that we have 8 kids + 2 dogs. I am grateful to God for our family. These kids are growing up way too fast.

Sunday thought: Being a dad to these four boys is one of the biggest blessing of my life. Every day, I’m trying to be the father they need. I want to show them how to love God and Jesus Christ, how to walk the covenant path, and what it means to be men of divine strength and purpose. I tell them often, but I try to show them even more often, just how much I love them. I want them to see me as more than their dad—I want them to see my heart. That it’s okay to feel deeply, to let emotions come to the surface, to feel them and to have them teach us more about ourselves and then to take it all to Christ and our Father in Heaven for healing and clarity. Jesus is the ultimate example of divine masculinity—strong, kind, humble, and wise. I want my boys to see that following Him is the key to life. That we are warriors for Christ in a battle against Satan and his minions who want our soul. That it’s our job to stand for truth, to serve and help others, to strengthen ourselves through scripture study, prayer, fasting, the temple, repentance, and obedience to the commandments. I hope they see/feel me trying every day to live the gospel. It’s not easy, but it’s the greatest work I’ll ever do.
